Trataka, also known as candle-gazing meditation, is a transformative practice rooted in the ancient purification techniques of Hatha yoga. Meaning "to gaze" in Sanskrit, this technique involves focusing on a single point, typically the calming glow of a candle flame.

While a flame is considered the most effective, Trataka can also be practiced with other focal points, such as a flower, a symbol of worship, or even the rising sun or moon.
